Q. Who can belong to Nauset Newcomers?
A. Anyone from the towns of Brewster, Eastham, Orleans
and Wellfleet.
Additionally up to 10% of the membership is opened to persons outside
the
above mentioned towns.
Q. How do I join?
A. Come to the next general meeting on the second
Wednesday of the month
and complete a membership
form. Or you can print a
membership
form
and mail in it along with your dues.
Q. What are the dues?
A. The dues are $15 per person.
Q. When do I renew my membership?
A. A renewal membership form is mailed to current
registrants in early August.
Q. How can I participate in activities?
A. You can sign up at a general meeting using one of the
activity clip boards.

Q. Who can serve on the Board?
A. Any
Active
Member during the first
four
years of membership.
Q. What are the duties of the Board?
A. The Board members are responsible for
planning and executing activities
associated with Hospitality, Membership, Publicity, Programs, Social
Events, Raffle and Group Activities.

Q. As a non profit organization, how does Nauset
Newcomers handle
residual monies at the end of the year?
A. The Nauset Newcomers organization withholds a
suitable sum of money to
meet expenses
incurred at the beginning of the new year. These are
related
principally with printing and mailing costs as well as required
deposits to
hold event reservations. The balance of the money is distributed
to a number
of charities or causes.
